Today is World Food Day

and Last night I had the extreme pleasure of attending and donating some illustrations to a FEED Supper hosted by Rachel Schwartzmann and The Style Line.   Rachel believes in community and what she did last night was bring young local and business savvy women together for a noble cause.

Just taking pleasure in the amazing meal we had with great company and being able to enjoy it is a huge gift in itself. It is so important to remember not every one is as fortunate.

The FEED supper initiative’s goal was to provide 1,000,000 meals and they surpassed their goal at 1,635,031!

FEED is an organization that was “built upon the power of the individual to become part of the solution.”  They have provided 84 million meals to date and continue with the goal of “creating good products that help FEED the world”.  With the donations and product proceeds, FEED provides meals to children and families in need in the United States and globally through the United Nations World Food Program (wfp.org) and Feeding America (feedingamerica.org)
$1 = 10 meals secured and delivered to people facing hunger.
